Step-by-Step Renovation Guide
PPG Renovation Services provides a guide that includes a pre-job walk-through inspection with your general contractor and painter to review the Scope of Work submitted by your PPG Paints rep. This pre-job walk will give our representative an opportunity to point out any potential issues, such as previously peeling paint, corrosion or water damage prior to the painter starting the job. Your PPG Paints rep will take a series of photos during the job walk to build a portfolio of those potential problem areas. This series of photos will be put in a maintenance binder that your community will receive at the end of the renovation.
Thorough Site Inspections
We perform weekly job inspections to make sure that the specification is being followed. This gives us the opportunity to catch any errors or missteps before they become issues at the completion of the job. Proper surface preparation, wet mil thickness checks, proper use of primers and topcoats, all go into your weekly inspection report. This report is distributed to the property management company or the community owner as they're completed. As the project wraps up, your PPG Paints representative will perform a final walk with your painter and general contractor to ensure that all surfaces meet the surface preparation and specification criteria.
Maintenance Binder
Upon final completion of this project, your housing community will receive a copy of our PPG Renovation Services maintenance binder. This binder will include the specifications on the renovation, tech data and safety data sheets for all PPG Paints products used, draw-downs of all paint products and colors for every area in your community, and the photos taken of any areas that were of concern prior to the start of the job. This maintenance binder is a huge benefit to your maintenance staff, as it makes ordering paint for your community simple and efficient.
