PPG Paints has teamed up with the Pittsburgh Penguins to rename their historic hockey venue, PPG Paints Arena, and has become the team’s official paint supplier.

A New Chapter for Old Friends

“We are excited to extend our partnership with PPG – a top-notch global organization that makes its home here in Pittsburgh,” said David Morehouse, Pittsburgh Penguins president. PPG products already have a presence in PPG PAINTS Arena. PPG consulted the Penguins as they chose paint colors used throughout the venue, and the company’s paint products were used in both decorative and protective applications throughout the arena when it was built.

Hometown Legacy, National Renown

As a leading year-round entertainment destination in Pittsburgh, PPG PAINTS Arena is a regional venue hosting world-class concerts, family shows and a variety of other events, as well as housing the Pittsburgh Penguins organization and serving as home ice for the NHL team. Since opening in 2010, the arena has hosted more than 150 events each year. “We are proud to support the Stanley Cup-champion Pittsburgh Penguins and to invest in this important venue in our hometown,” said Michael McGarry, PPG chairman and CEO. “On behalf of our customers, employees and business partners around the world, PPG sends a hearty, ‘Let’s Go Pens!’ cheer to the team and all of Pittsburgh.”
