Safety
Below is a list of thinners and solvents available through the PPG Building Renewal Program. These solvents are recommended for use with the PPG Building Renewal primers, air barriers and topcoats. Use the same product for cleaning equipment and for spills. Not all paints will need to be thinned, so before proceeding with the thinning process, refer to the product technical data bulletin for recommendations. Keep in mind that thinning may be necessary when using a sprayer to apply paint. It is important to use caution with solvents, especially concerning the hands and eyes. Always work in a well-ventilated room and close containers after each use. Refrain from smoking or working near heat sources, as many solvents are flammable. Contact your local environmental regulatory agency for guidance on disposal of unused product. Do not pour down a drain or storm sewer. Download Thinners Sales Sheet
